Biography
Sangwon Kim was born in Daegu, Korea, in 1985. He received his Bachelor degree (2009) and Master degree (2011) from Kyungpook National University (KNU), Korea, major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He studied the semiconductor devices and MEMS devices fabrication. In Feburary 2017, he received the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Robotics Engineering, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST), Korea. The research focused on the magnetically actuated microrobots for targeted cell/drug delivery. Since September 2017, he is a postdoctoral associate at the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab, ETH Zurich. His current research includes development of soft microrobotics and formation of 3D structures with various materials including the hydrogels, fully metallic structures, and hybrid structures for biomedical applications.
