Judith Brüggemann had done Bachelor Program in Agricultural Sciences, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. Bachelor thesis: "Potentials for Development of Ostrich Farms in South Africa" [Entwicklungspotentiale für Straußenfarmen in Südafrika] supervised by Dr. Irina Gillwald at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She had done Master program in International Agricultural Sciences, Humboldt-University of Berlin, Germany. Research fields: Agricultural Economics. Master thesis: "International Comparison of the Support for Organic Farming – Transferability of the PSE Concept of the OECD" supervised by Dr. Frank Offermann at the Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries (vTI) and Prof. Dr. Dieter Kirschke at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She had done PhD student in Agricultural Economics, Justus-Liebig University of Giessen, Germany. Research fields: Bio-economic modelling, household economics in developing countries, ecological-economics, decision making. PhD thesis: "Decision making of rural farm households in Namibia –Lessons learned from multi-annual programming optimisation models" supervised by Prof. Ernst-August Nuppenau. Since 2009 she is Scientific collaborator at the Department of Socioeconomics FiBL.
