Biography
Dr. Hale came to Franklin after a post-doctorate position with the Children's Environmental Health Initiative at Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University. He is currently Associate Professor of Biology and Environmental Science, as well as the Co-Director of the Center for Sustainability Initiatives at Franklin. He teaches courses in Franklin's environmental studies program, including core courses such as Introduction to Environmental Science and Conservation Biology
Research Interest
His research interests include the ecology and conservation of riparian and freshwater systems, the role of sustainability in higher education (particularly off campus study), and invasive species and natural heritage.
