Stuart Raetzman

Biography

Mr. Stuart Raetzman has been the Chief Executive Officer of Galderma Laboratories, L.P. since March 01, 2014. Mr. Raetzman serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Galderma Pharma SA. Mr. Raetzman joined Galderma after 20 years with Alcon, a division of Novartis, where he held senior leadership roles in the US and Europe. Mr. Raetzman served as Area President of Europe, Middle East and Africa of Alcon, Inc. since 2012. Mr. Raetzman broad and successful experience, particularly in ophthalmology, a specialty segment that has already gone through transformations similar to the ones impacting dermatology, gives him unique insights and a deep understanding of the economic, social and technological trends shaping world. His unique track record of leading multi-business organizations, including prescription, consumer and surgical medical solutions, is of particular interest to Galderma and dermatology at large. Mr. Raetzman began his career with Alcon in 1991 in roles with increasing degrees of responsibility. At heart, he has both a strong commitment to people and an astute vision of the future of healthcare. In April 2009, Mr. Raetzman became Vice President, U.S. Surgical and Consumer Products. In 2003, Mr. Raetzman was promoted to Vice President of Pharmaceutical Marketing and in 2004 was charged with managing the cataract sales and marketing organizations. Mr. Raetzman received a degree in marketing from The University of Texas and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in 2004.
