Biography
PhD in agricultural economics, ENSSAA (National School of Agricultural Applied Sciences)faculty member since 1990, he is also a professor at the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment at the University of Lausanne and a research associate at the House of And the Mediterranean (Lyon II University and CNRS, France).
Research Interest
His research focuses on agricultural policies, water management, desertification and pastoralism in the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahel. He has co-directed the Arid Margins of the Fertile Crescent . Population, exploitation and control of resources in northern Syria (2006).
