Biography
Professor Julia Downing, has been working within palliative care for 25 years, with 15 of those working internationally in Uganda, Africa, in Eastern Europe and throughout the world. She is an Honorary Professor at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and the Director of Education and Research for the International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN). Amongst numerous other roles, she is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Palliative Nursing (IJPN), has been involved in a number of local, national and international research studies, and serves on the Boards of several NGOs.
