Biography

 t was a conscious decision for me in 1998 to join one of the world's biggest companies that has a great history for caring about people and their working environment. I was attracted to Holcim for its reputation for having leadership present every day and ensuring people can work with high standards of quality and safety and concern for the environment. My professional growth has been very consistent in my time with Holcim - I joined as a laboratory technician and within a year was promoted to Plant Manager of a new ready-mix concrete operation. Soon after that I was moved to one of the biggest ready-mix operations in Ecuador where I settled before being promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2006 and then to Aggregates and Ready-mix Operations Manager in 2008. Holcim delivers many important courses and training activities on management, leadership, technical issues, sales, relationships, quality, environment and safety and every one that I have attended have contributed to my career, day to day work and family activities. Managing budgets and Capex (Capital Expenditures) together with operational performance are the core elements of my role. I'm also involved in identifying new expansion projects, implementing improved technical procedures, coordinating production and quality control. In every aspect of my role quality, health, safety and environmental standards are the basis.
