Biography

 Holcim is both very demanding but very respectful of its employees. The international set-up, dynamic growth path and reputation for being a leader in the industry attracts new people to our business. People are friendly and down to earth, which makes it a good place to work. When I joined Holcim in 1998, I was surprised how much I was able to design my own job content. Two years into my Holcim career, I was offered the unique role of General Manager, South Germany, to integrate the newly acquired company into the Holcim group. In 2003, I took on a new role supporting the start-up of Holcim Services EMEA, an IT shared service centre based in Spain. This was followed by a project leader to roll out business processes to Switzerland and South Germany, working with international business experts and consultants. The Europe-wide reorganization in 2005 gave me the responsibility I have today
