Biography
Since graduating with an MBA from New York University’s Stern School, Len has spent his entire career in the corporate and structured finance markets. During his 23 years at Citigroup he held senior positions in a variety of businesses, including the leveraged buyout market in the U.S., the corporate and structured finance markets in Tokyo and the global aviation market. At Citigroup he held designations for both Senior Credit Officer and Senior Securities Officer. Upon leaving Citigroup, he spent the following 10 years as the managing partner of Choir Capital Ltd, an advisory company that specialized in helping institutional investors originate, distribute and restructure their portfolio investments. Since the financial crises in 2007/2008 he established Newton Pointe LLC to provide restructuring and capital raising services to financial institutions faced with problems created by the credit crises. In addition to his current directorships in Newton Pointe LLC and a private Boston-based real estate venture, Len has held directorships in an aviation maintenance operation a middle market property as a casualty insurer. Len has extensive experience in highly structured domestic and cross border financing transactions (including M&A transactions, leveraged leases, real estate and asset based securitization activity) involving complex tax, accounting, valuation and regulatory considerations.
