Markus Schultz

Biography

Markus obtained the Law degree from the University of Zürich and is a qualified Barrister. He is also notary public in the Kanton of St. Gallen. Markus is specialised in Swiss commercial and economic codes; establishment and transfer of legal entities. He is a member of various Boards of Directors, e.g. in packaging-, refinement-, construction-, wood- and pharma industries, banking, (private equity). In addition, general civil code, including insurance, and third party liability and coaching of succession planning. Markus's experience covers national and international M&A transactions, involvement from a legal perspective in succession planning, establishment of start-ups as well as restructuring in general, restructuring shareholder structures, inheritance and asset reallocation.In addition he is experienced in management consulting of international entities, leading discussions in financial crisis situations of corporations, development and implementation of legal documents and certificates in connection with the separation of legal entities within a group. Markus is providing advice to local and international small and medium sized corporations, whilst at the same time also being either a member of the Board or chairing such boards, or participating as a shareholder at times.
