Biography
Dr. Flückiger is a specialist in the field of infectious diseases and hospital epidemiology. In 1999, Dr Flückiger held the position of assistant Head of Clinic of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, University Hospital Basel. In 2002 Dr. Flückiger has been nominated as Senior doctor clinic for Infectious Diseases & Hospital Epidemiology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital Basel. In 2003, she was director responsible for organising, implementing and evaluating the annual board examination FMH Infectious Diseases. Since 2009, Dr Flückiger is the president of the Infectious Diseases Society. In 2004, she held the position of assistant professor of internal medicine and infectious diseases.
