Biography
I am a Research Staff Member in IBM Research – Zurich. I joined IBM Research in 2013, after I have worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII) in Germany. I received my Ph.D. in computer science in 2011 and M.S. in computer science in 2007 from the Max-Planck Institute for Informatics / Saarland University. I am interested in the areas of machine learning, data mining, statistical learning with biased data, transfer learning, information retrieval, services research, and disease bioinformatics (HIV therapy optimization and drug resistance).
