Biography
I am currently a Research Assistant at Idiap Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Andrei Popescu-Belis and Prof. Herve Bourlard and registered as PhD student in the Electrical Engineering (EDEE) doctoral program at EPFL since August 2014. Before Joining Idiap I attended RWTH Aachen in Germany and received my Masters degree in Media Informatics in 2014.My research focuses on machine translation and natural language processing. I am mainly interested in combining the techniques of machine learning with linguistic rules (e.g syntacit/semantic/ambiguity/co-reference information) in order to improve machine translation of different language pairs. My project is part of a multiinstitutional collaboration under the SNF-funded MODERN project between Idiap, the University of Zuerich and the Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
Research Interest
My research interests in machine translation, natural language processing, machine learning and related areas.
