Biography
Peter Arbenz was appointed Adjunct Professor at the Chair of Computational Science, Computer Science Department in 2003. He was born 1953 in Hartford, CT, USA. He received his Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Zurich in 1978 und his PdD in Applied Mathematics in 1983 from the same university. 1982-1987 he worked as a software engineer with BBC Brown, Boveri & Cie., Baden, Switzerland. 1987-2003 he was a Senior Research Associate at ETH Zurich’s Institute of Scientific Computing. Since 1988 he the leader of the institute’s parallel computing group.
Research Interest
Peter Arbenz’s research interests are Numerical Analysis, Numerical Linear Algebra, Large Scale Eigenvalue Problems, Parallel and Distributed Computing.
