Biography
Florian Schellenberg studied Human Movement Sciences with a major in Biomechanics at the ETH of Zurich and graduated 2012. During his studies he completed a three monthly internship at the Institute for Biomechanics in the field of gait analysis and a three monthly internship at the University Hospital of Zurich with the aims to classify the movements of hemiparetic patients with a motion sensor. To graduate, he wrote his master thesis feasibility study: The intraoperative determination of the mechanical properties of the bone at the Institute for Biomechanics. In April 2012 he started his Ph.D. movement analysis and sports biomechanics in the Sports Biomechanics Group headed by Dr. Silvio Lorenzetti. The main aims of this position are to: Develop new testing methods for biomechanical parameters Simulate load conditions during exercise Modeling and optimization of the active muscle forces.
