Biography
Prof. Dr. Tobias Kollmann holds the Chair for E-Business and E-Entrepreneurship at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Since 1996, he focuses on scientific questions concerning the topics internet, E-Business and E-Commerce. As Co-Founder of AutoScout24 he was among the pioneers of the German internet start-up scene. Over the last ten years, he financed numerous startups in the Net Economy as a Business Angel and was elected as the “Business Angel of the Year 2012” by the Business Angel Netzwerk Deutschland e.V. In 2013, he became a core member of the Advisory Board “Young Digital Economy” of the BMWi and was elected as its chairman. Since 2014, he has been commissioner for the Digital Economy of North Rhine-Westphalia and was voted into the board of directors at Klöckner & Co SE in July 2015.
