Biography
He is the founder or co-founder of four medical device companies and has more than 30 years experience in the management of medical device companies with significant accomplishments in new product development, marketing and sales, regulatory and reimbursement. He first founded Advanced Biomedical Supply (ABS) in 1984 that pioneered the distribution of digital equipment and sophisticated urological implants in France. Advanced Biomedical Supply’s successes lead to its acquisition by Medtronic in 1996. In 1992, he co-founded Prince Medical, a major manufacturer of disposable medical devices currently employing more than 450 employees. In 1994, he founded Aprime Switzerland as an attempt to export the business model of a high-tech distribution company out of France. Aprime CH was sold to the management a few years later. Finally, in 1996, he started Advanced Biomedical Systems (ABS) that was aquired by The Werfen Group (Barcelona, Spain) in 2001 and merged it with Bolton Medical to create ABS-Bolton Medical. He is now a board member, a consultant and/or a private investor in several start-up companies.
