Biography
Dr. Alfredo Nicosia, Ph.D., Co- Founded Nouscom AG and serves as Chief Executive officer of Italy. Dr. Nicosia Co- Founded Okairos AG. and served as its Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Nicosia served as Senior Director of the Viral Diseases Vaccine program at Istituto di Ricerche di Biologia Molecolare (IRBM). Prior to joining IRBM, he served as Staff Scientist at the EMBL, Heidelberg and Project Leader at the Sclavo Research Center, Siena, Italy (now Chiron/Novartis Vaccines). He has gained extensive experience in vaccine research and immunology. He contributed to the pre-clinical and clinical development of a number of vaccines and monoclonal antibodies against infectious diseases and cancer. He has published articles in leading journals such as Cell and Nature Medicine on subjects including viral and bacterial infection and vaccines. Dr. Nicosia holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome.
