Biography
Dr. Pierre Vankan serves as Head of Development at Obexia AG. Dr. Vankan has more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical development. He has been responsible for projects from research to marketing involving IND and NDA filings in the EU, US and Japan. From 1992 to 2009, he was employed at Hoffmann-La Roche, Basel, as a Scientist, Global Project Leader, and Lifecycle Leader in the Development and Primary Care Business Departments. In 2004, he moved to Santhera Pharmaceuticals as head of Development. In 2009, he founded Vankan consulting and in 2013 he joined Obexia. He graduated in Molecular Biology at the University of Utrecht and holds a PhD from the University of Basel.
