Biography
Mr. David J. Cooney, also known as Dave, is a Managing Director at Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company. Previously, he was a Partner at the firm. Mr. Cooney joined Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company in February 1997. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Cooney worked in the corporate finance department at Smith Barney, specializing in public offerings and mergers and acquisitions for healthcare companies. Earlier, from 1994 to 1995, he was an Analyst at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and focused on privatization opportunities in Eastern Europe. Mr. Cooney serves on the Board of Directors at CryoCor, Inc. He also serves or has served on the Board of Directors of a number of public and private healthcare service, medical device. He served on the board of Paragon Medical Inc. He served on the boards of Same Day Surgery, LLC, Reichert, ISG Holdings and TeraMedica, Inc., the MED Group Inc. Mr. Cooney holds a M.P.P. in International Finance from Georgetown University and a B.S. in History from the University of Illinois.
