Biography
Jean-Pierre Obrecht, Ph.D., is co-founder and CEO of Polyphor Ltd since 1996. He has extensive experience in the chemical industry, starting in agrochemical research, then heading the production and engineering department of Dr. R. Maag AG, a former affiliate of Roche and later Ciba-Geigy. In his last position, he was responsible for the worldwide logistics of pharma active ingredients at Roche in Basel. J.-P. Obrecht obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from ETH Zurich in 1982 under the supervision of Prof. D. Arigoni, and an Executive MBA degree from Hochschule St. Gallen (HSG) in 1990.
