Biography
Ian joined KPMG in Birmingham in 1983 and became a partner in 1995. He has worked with all sizes and types of clients, from individuals to listed companies, and in all the firm’s functions –Audit, Tax and Advisory. He is currently Global Lead Partner for BAE Systems, the UK/US defense contractor, and the Swiss healthcare company Roche, both of which are major audit clients of the firm. Previous clients include Allied Domecq, Boots, Diageo, Tesco and Vodafone and he has held management roles within the firm, primarily around the Consumer Goods & Retail sector. In 2012 Ian was elected by the UK partners to be a non-executive member of the KPMG UK Board; he was chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee from 2012 to 2015 and since then has been the senior non-executive partner.
