Biography
Jürg Hofer studied electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich and completed an MBA at the University of LaVerne (US). He spent more than eleven years as head of R&D, sector and divisional manager at Georg Fischer Rohrleitungssysteme AG before taking over as head of Business Area Electronics at Mettler Toledo. He was subsequently a member of the Executive Board and head of the Motion Division at Baumer Management Services as well as COO of IDS. In 2007 he set up AAA-Consulting and since that time has been working as a freelance consultant. Jürg Hofer has been lecturing at various universities of applied sciences and vocational colleges for more than thirty years. He has been responsible at SBS for Mathematics and Venture Capital & Private Equity since 2009.
