Pua Cooper

Biography

 Pua Cooper is a highly experienced nurse with over 26 years of leadership and clinical experience. She holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialty in Nursing Informatics. She currently serves as Chief Clinical Information Officer for Boca Raton Regional Hospital where she is responsible for the operations of the Informatics department of this 400-bed academic facility. In this capacity, she uses her understanding of clinical practice to leverage technology to improve patient outcomes. In 2014, her team was recognized as one of eight national finalists in McKesson’s Distinguished Achievement Award for the innovative use of technology to advance care. In 2015, she was formally recognized as a Senior HIMSS Member. At the national HIMSS level, she participates in the Nursing Informatics Executive Work Group and the Clinical Insights Editorial Committee where she has authored several articles for the publication. She has been a speaker at various local and national conferences including: HIMSS 2016, South Florida Organization of Nursing Executives (SFONE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HMFA), and the Nursing Consortium of South Florida.
