Biography
Bozidar Stojadinovic has been a professor of structural dynamics and earthquake engineering at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering since 2011. He was born on October 6, 1962 in Belgrade, Serbia, and is a US citizen. After graduating with a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, in 1995, Dr. Stojadinovic worked as a professor of civil engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, until the end of 1999 and the University of California, Berkeley, until July 2011. He taught courses in steel structure design, and the static and dynamic analysis of structures. He was on the team that designed and built the nees@berkeley hybrid simulation laboratory and was the co-director and director of the UC Berkeley NEES Equipment Site. From 2009 to 2011 he was a geological faculty scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, CA, USA. He is a structural engineering consultant to the US NRC Advisory Committee on Reactor Safety.
