Biography
Christophe Copéret has been Professor of Surface and Interface Chemistry at the Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences, since 2010. He was born in Belleville, France in 1970. Christophe Copéret completed his degree in chemistry and chemical technology at the University of Lyon in France in 1992. He obtained a doctorate from the Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, USA in August 1996 before working as a postdoc for a year under professor K. B. Sharpless at Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, USA. From 1998 to 2002, he was an assistant professor at the University of Lyon. In 2002, he became a professor at the University of Lyon, where he worked for another eight years. From 2008 to 2010, he was Research Director of the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique). Christophe Copéret has been the editor of the Journal of Catalysis since January 2011.
