Biography
Günther Dissertori has been Assistant Professor (since September 2001) and Full Professor (since June 2007) at the Institute for Particle Physics. He works at ETH and at CERN (Geneva), mainly on the data analysis with the particle detector CMS at the LHC accelerator. He studied physics at the University of Innsbruck from 1988 to 1993. Then in 1994 he started his PhD thesis at CERN (being doctoral student sent by the University of Innsbruck), which has been finished in 1997.
