Biography
Klaus Kirch is Full Professor of Experimental Particle Physics at ETH Zurich’s Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics and simultaneously Head of the Laboratory of Particle Physics,at the Paul Scherrer Institute. He was Associate Professor from 2009 to 2014. He was born in Cologne, Germany, on 26 December 1967. From 1989 to 1994 Professor Kirch studied mathematics and physics at the Albertus Magnus University of Cologne, completing a physics degree with a nuclear physics project entitled "Kollektive Zustände in Ba-132 nach beta-Zerfall" in 1994.
Research Interest
Fundamental particle physics; Ultra-cold neutrons and muons.
