Biography
Peter Ulmer is Titularprofessor since June 2003 at the Institute for Mineralogy and Petrology at ETH Zurich. Peter Ulmer is born in 1958 in Adliswil/ZH. He did his undergraduate at ETH Zurich, graduating in 1983 in geology, and finished in igneous petrology in 1986. From 1986 - 1988 he was postdoctoral fellow at the Geophysical Laboratory, Canregie Institution of Washington, where he performed high-pressure experimental research. In 1989 he returned to ETH Zuich as a lecturer at the Insitute for Mineralogy and Petrology, where he obtained his habilitation in 2001.
