Biography
Ralph Spolenak has been Professor at ETH Zurich and Chair of the Laboratory for Nanometallurgy since October 1st, 2004 rising through the ranks from assistant to full professor. He currently serves as the Deputy Chair of the Department of Materials and the Chairman of the Board of ScopeM (Scientific Center for Optical and Electron Microscopy) at ETH Zurich.
Research Interest
To study the mechanical and functional properties of materials at the nanoscale and how these properties can be influenced by materials design approaches.
