Biography
Rüdiger Fahlenbrach is Professor of Finance at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and has held an SFI Senior Chair since 2012. He graduated with a PhD in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. Before joining the faculty in Lausanne in 2009, Prof. Fahlenbrach was Assistant Professor of Finance at the Ohio State University. Prof. Fahlenbrach’s research has been published in the top finance journals worldwide and features in the international press, including The Economist and NZZ. He is a regular speaker at leading academic conferences and also serves on the editorial boards of the top academic journals in finance.

Corporate governance and on understanding the causes and consequences of the recent financial crisis.
