Biography
Oliver Hantschel studied biochemistry at the University of Regensburg and at Rockefeller University in New York City. He received his PhD in 2004 from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg and did postdoctoral work with Giulio Superti-Furga at the Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. In 2011, he was nominated Tenure Track Assistant Professor at the EPFL School of Life Sciences and was awarded the first 'ISREC Foundation Chair in Translational Oncology'.

Structure-function analysis of kinases; Protein-protein interactions; Mechanism-of-action of tyrosine kinase inhibitors; Bcr-Abl signaling.
