Elisabetta Dessi

Biography

 Provides administrative assistance to research capacity strengthening and knowledge management activities. Elisabetta joined TDR in 2008, having heard about TDR’s research reputation while in WHO’s Heath Technology and Pharmaceuticals cluster. “TDR seemed to offer the stimulating environment I enjoy,” she states, “although I was attracted to international organizations even before joining WHO or TDR!” She enjoys “being part of a team that can make things really change for countries and that gives countries tools with which they can help themselves”. 

Research Interest

 She recalls meeting a researcher in China who proudly showed her his lab, built with TDR funding. “Seeing such transformation is what pushes me forward,” she adds. Elisabetta delights in challenge, saying, ”at TDR there’s a lot of variety and lots to learn – I really like that feeling of always having something to do and being able to help.”
