Rob Terry

Biography

 Responsible for knowledge management that helps translate evidence into policy. Rob joined TDR in August 2013. His early career in research and development was in agriculture, including helping Palestinian farmers establish local seed production facilities where he started to build both scientific and policy expertise. He went on to positions at the Wellcome Trust and the Royal Society, one of the world’s most distinguished research academies, where he had extensive experience formulating R&D strategy and policy. He joined WHO in 2007 and managed the development and implementation of Organization’s strategy on research for health. He is one of the lead authors of the 2013 World Health Report– Research for Universal Health Coverage.”I’m excited to be working in TDR,” he says. The new strategy requires extensive networking, building partnerships and a multidisciplinary approach. I hope my own multi-disciplinary experience can add something of value to one of the most dedicated and committed teams I have worked with while at WHO.”
