Biography
Oladapo Filani is a highly driven E&P professional with over 17 years technical and business leadership experience in the international Oil Exploration & Production Upstream Business. Oladapo has over the years have developed a capacity to handle complex technical and business related issues, exceptional drive to achieve and sustain high performance on the job.Strategic thinker, facilitator, organizational change agent, advocate of enterprise thinking and good relationship/people management skills. Graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science (Second Class Upper) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan, in 2010 Certificate in Leadership from London Business School, and in 2012 with Master of Business Administration (MBA, Oil & Gas Management) from Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, Scotland. As Manager Technical Planning, I am responsible / accountable for the setting up and running of the cross functional planning function, business strategy development process, medium to long-term business planning process, achievement of sustainable synergy (cost & efficiency focussed) across the entire value chain (Core and support functions), investment opportunity identification, screening and evaluation, medium-long term production forecasting, resources classification and reporting both externally and internally, industry benchmarking and best practice assessments and external stakeholder interface management. As Development Manager, I managed / lead a cross functional project team, was accountable for development of project schedules/budget, execution of an appraisal drilling campaign, technical studies and business reviews, project gate approval process (feasibility through concept selection and FDP preparation), contracting activities and processes to support project delivery, preparation of necessary supporting board documentation and interface management leading to Final Investment Decision and statutory FDP approval.
