Biography
An assistant physician at the Jules-Gonin Ophthalmic Hospital, Yan Guex-Crosier is responsible for the Ocular Immuno-Infectiology Unit. Recognized at the international level for the management of uveitis 1 , he was appointed associate professor of UNIL on 1 February 2017.
Research Interest
The important clinical practice of the ophthalmologist, which inspires his research, is dedicated to the management of uveitis related to complex systemic pathologies. He works closely with colleagues from other specialties (internal medicine, rheumatology, infectious diseases, dermatology, etc.) within the CHUV ophthalmology unit. With Prof. Michaël Hofer, a specialist in rare inflammatory diseases of children and adolescents at the CHUV, he set up a joint consultation of pediatric uveitis in 1998 and develops a platform for epidemiological research validated at the national level and in the deployment phase at the European level.
