Biography
Dr. Andreas Türler in 1985: dipl. Chem., University of Berne; 1989: PhD, Dr. phil. Nat., University of Bern; 1989: Postdoc at the Paul Scherrer Institute; 1989-1992: Postdoc at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; 1992-2001: Staff scientist at the Paul Scherrer Institute; since 1993: Lecturer at University of Bern; 2000: Habilitation at University of Bern; 2000: Visiting scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; 2001-2009: Full professor of radiochemistry at Technical University Munich; Since 2009: Full professor of radiochemistry at the University of Berne and the Laboratory of Radiochemistry at PSI (LRC).
Research Interest
The Laboratory of Radiochemistry focuses on fundamental research and education in the field of radiochemistry, atmospheric chemistry and climate research. The Laboratory is a joint activity of the PSI and the University of Berne. The five research groups investigate the physiochemical interaction of trace gases in the atmosphere, study of the radionuclide inventory in beam targets of large scale Irradiation facilities, and developing measurement techniques of environmental radionuclides in geoscientific research.
