Research Interest
Insulin resistance & metabolism of aging, primary prevention of metabolic disorders, translational research,education The main focus of Dr. Amati’s research is on insulin resistance, metabolism and aging. She and her team incorporate multiple approaches including :insulin clamp studies, muscle histology,state of the art imaging to elucidate the impact of exercise on insulin sensitivity and metabolic dysfunction and aging.
