Biography
Isabelle Décosterd, a Swiss citizen, graduated from UNIL in 1990, and successfully completed her Ph.D. Patrick Aebischer in 1998 and then his FMH specialization in anesthesiology. She received a scholarship from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and then flew to Boston (USA) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. She then works in the laboratory of Prof. Clifford J. Woolf, one of the most influential researchers in the field of pain.
Research Interest
Isabelle Décosterd,develops and manages fundamental and translational research to identify mechanisms and treatments of chronic pain. She also supports and fosters clinical research to evaluate, prevent and treat acute and chronic pain.
