Knezevic Ivana

Biography

  An internationally renowned scientist in the field of vaccination and biotechnology and head of the "Standards and standards for biological products" group at the WHO, Ivana Knezevic was appointed full professor of UNIL as of 1 February 2017 within the WHO Center for Research and Training in Immunology, Department of Biochemistry, UNIL. As a global public health specialist, Ivana Knezevic has more than twenty years of experience in the evaluation of vaccines and biotherapeutic products, including biosimilars, in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. His expertise has been confirmed by his participation in more than 100 international conferences as guest speaker, keynote speaker, session chair and member of organizing committees. In particular, she coordinated the publication of more than 50 reference documents and recommendations for the standardization of vaccines and other biological products as part of her work at WHO.
