Research Interest
I am interested in developing and applying statistical methods to high content data such as NGS data to better understand molecular processes underlying eukaryotic gene expression regulation. I previously completed my PhD with Erik Van Nimwegen jointly at Basel University and Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, Switzerland, where I worked on identifying key regulatory interactions underlying early stage of drug-induced liver tumorigenesis. My current project aims at investigating the role of 3’ untranslated regions (3’UTRs) in gene expression regulation and (neurodegenerative) diseases. I am also involved in a collaborative project with the Farr Institute which aims to develop and test new data-analysis methods for prognoses of stable coronary artery disease (SCAD) based on electronic medical records.
