Biography
Pablo Koch is Professor of Finance and Insurance at the University of Zurich. He became an SFI Faculty Member in 2017. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Zurich. He was responsible for the launching of the Center for Finance and Insurance (CFI) at the University of Zurich in 2013. The CFI aims to advance research and foster education in the application of Finance Theory and Mathematical Finance to insurance related topics, building a bridge between the areas of finance and insurance. Prof. Koch worked for more than 20 years in the finance and insurance industry, most recently as a managing director responsible for the oversight of capital and liquidity risk, risk reporting and risk governance at Swiss Re.
