Biography
Athina Kaprara was born in Veria, Greece. She graduated in 1998 from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (MD). She worked for 2 years at “Theagenio†Anticancer Hospital and for 4 years at “Panagia†General Hospital. During these years she was trained in the fields of general Endocrinology, diabetology and metabolism. She acquired the specialty of Endocrinology in 2011. From 2012, she has worked as a private doctor. In 2009 she received her Master of Science (MSc) from the Greek Open University and in 2012 her PhD degree from the Democritus University of Thrace. She has publications in peer-review journals, she participated in the writing of book chapters, she has been invited as a speaker in national and international medical congress and she has been peer reviewer for scientific journals.
