Biography

Mr. Michel Darnaud served as the President of Cardiac Surgery Business Unit at LivaNova PLC (formerly, Cyberonics Inc.) from Ocotber 2015 to April 2017. Mr. Darnaud served as the President of Cardiopulmonary and Intercontinental Business at Sorin Group since 2008 and has full global responsibility from R&D to sales. He is a seasoned executive with 30 years of industry experience in medical technology, including two decades in international senior management positions. Mr. Darnaud served as Consultant of Medical Technology for Europe with Spencer Stuart (Paris) from October 2005 to 2008, where he established a presence for its in the medical technology sector in Europe. From 1998 to June 2005, he served as the President of the European Division (Paris) of Boston Scientific Corporation, with full P/L responsibility across eight divisions, including interventional cardiology. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Darnaud worked for Baxter International. He served as an European President of the Baxter Cardio Vascular Group from 1996 to 1997. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Darnaud served as Vice President of the Renal Division and from 1992 to 1994 he served as an Area Vice President of the Renal Division. Since 1991, Mr. Darnaud served as General Manager of Diagnostica Stago. He has been the Chairman of STENTYS Société anonyme since March 27, 2013. Mr. Darnaud serves as the Chairman of the Board of Xeltis AG. He served as the Chairman of Eucomed (European Medical Device Industry Association) from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Darnaud has been an Independent Director of STENTYS Société anonyme since November 19, 2010. He has been an Independent Director of Corwave SAS since November 2016. Mr. Darnaud served as a Director at Ceragenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from June 2005 to July 23, 2010. He served as a Director of OnSource Corp., since June 2005. Mr. Darnaud served as Member of Scientific and Strategic Advisory Board at STENTYS S.A. He has been a Member of the European Medical Device Industry Association since 2002 and its President since October 2004.
