Biography
Prof. Jean-Marie Pierre Lehn, Ph.D., serves as Director of the Supramolecular Chemistry Laboratory at the Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering in Strasburg, France. He has been the Chairman of Chemistry of Molecular Interactions at the Collège de France in Paris since 1979. Prof. Lehn is the Founder and Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board at NormOxys, Inc. He headed the chemistry laboratory at the Collège de France. Prof. Lehn was an early contributor to the International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry. He was a Co-Founder of Alantos Pharmaceuticals Holding, Inc. Prof. Lehn worked in the laboratory of Robert Burns Woodward at Harvard, where he participated in the total synthesis of vitamin B12. He serves as the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board at AC Immune SA. Prof. Lehn has been a Director of Ciba Specialty Chemicals since 1997. He serves as a Director of Advisory Board of Novartis Venture Funds. Prof. Lehn serves as a Director of the Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires at the Université de Strasbourg, France and continues to innovate in the field of intermolecular interactions. He serves as a Director of Universite Louis Pasteur and College de France. Prof. Lehn has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Avadel Pharmaceuticals plc (Also known as: Flamel Technologies SA) since January 26, 2005 and Xeltis AG since January 2014. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Mycell Technologies LLC, Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Reliance Industries Ltd., Aventis, Strasbourg and Adocia S.A. Prof. Lehn serves as a Member of Advisory Board at RainDance Technologies, Inc. He has been a Member of Advisory Board at Ucore Rare Metals Inc. since October 5, 2015. Prof. Lehn serves as a Member of Scientific and Ethic Board of Hemarina S.A. He served as a Director of Ciba Holding, Inc. since 1997. Prof. Lehn also served as a Director at Novartis. He served as a Member of the Economic and Business Advisory Board at Warburg Pincus LLC. Prof. Lehn is a Member of several National Academies of Sciences including those of France, the United States and Russia. He is Professor of Molecular Chemistry at the Collège de France in Paris. Prof. Lehn has been a Professor of Chemistry at the Université Louis Pasteur since 1970. He has served as a Visiting Professor at a number of prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, E.T.H. and the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Barcelona and Frankfurt. Prof. Lehn is an Advocate of Clean Chemistry principles as applied to the resource development, industrial and manufacturing applications and health sciences sectors. He is the author of more than 700 scientific publications.
