Biography
Prof. Francesco Maisano, M.D., serves as Head of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Zurich University Hospital and a full professor of cardiac surgery at the University of Zurich in 2014. Previously, Prof. Maisano was Senior Cardiac Surgeon at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan and he also undertook a fellowship at the University of Birmingham, Alabama, USA. He serves as Member of Medical Advisory Board at Xeltis AG. Prof. Maisano is recognized as an expert for minimally invasive valve surgery and widely considered as a representative of a new generation of cardiovascular surgeons.
