Biography
Francesco Paneni studied medicine and graduated in 2011 from his specialist in cardiology at the University 'Sepienza', Rome (IT). His clinical work included cardiovascular imaging and cardiac intensive care. Thereafter, Francesco Paneni earned his doctorate in Experimental Medicine. From 2011 to 2013 he was a research associate in cardiovascular research at the Institute of Physiology of the University of Zurich with Prof. Francesco Cosentino. The main areas of research of Francesco Paneni are: diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart failure and diseases of the coronary arteries. In 2011 and 2012 he was Co-Investigator of the Research Grant of the Swiss Heart Foundation. Francesco Paneni received the Young Investigator Award 2011 from the Italian Society of Cardiology.
