Biography
Dr. med. Ivan O. Haeflinger is Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Basel and works both clinically and as a basic researcher. After his stay in ophthalmology in Geneva, he has a training in basic research, glaucoma and oculoplastic surgery in Basel (Center for Teaching and Research), London (Moorfields Eye Hospital), Miami (Bascom Palmer Eye Institute) and Belohorizonte (UFMG / Basilien) completed. He has published a variety of original papers and reviews and has been a reviewer for prestigious ophthalmic journals. In addition, he was active in various European associations. For many years he was the Section for Pharmacology and Physiology of the Eye of the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER). He was also Chairman of the Education Committee of the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO). He is currently Vice President of the Ophthalmology Section of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Dr. med. Ivan O. Haeflinger runs a private clinic in Basel, specializing in eyelid and tears. Dr. med. Ivan O.
