Biography
Jürg Schwitter studied medicine in Zurich before continuing his education in Glarus and Zurich to become a specialist in internal medicine and later cardiology. He then completed a postdoctoral degree at the University of California San Francisco with Prof. Charles B. Higgins in the field of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In 1998, he returned to the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital Zurich as senior physician and subsequently expanded cardiac MRI clinically and scientifically. Jürg Schwitter has successfully published in the best journals of cardiovascular medicine, including circulation, and some of his works are among the most cited publications of the University of Zurich in recent years.
