Biography
Marcel Tschudi studied Medical Biology at the University of Basel and wrote his doctoral thesis under Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher in the Department of Cardiovascular Research of the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital in Basel on endothelial regulation of intramyocardial coronary arteries. In particular, he distinguished himself by his enormous experimental skill in the study of resistance vessels and published important work on the endothelial regulation of these arteries. In 1998, Marcel Tschudi was appointed Senior Assistant to the Cardiovascular Research Department of the Institute of Physiology at the University of Zurich. One year later he moved to the Swiss National Science Foundation and then to Merck Sharp & Dohme-Chibret AG in Glattbrugg.
